Cooks
The job description and the responsibilities outlined below are general guidelines only. As each Family’s needs and requirements are unique and different, the specific expectations and job responsibilities should be initially discussed during the interview and later included in the Family/Employee Agreement.
COOKS/PERSONAL CHEF – Whether family is looking for a Cook for simple family meals or a Chef to do more formal meals, the client’s needs will dictate the service levels.
Responsibilities of a Cook/Personal Chef include everything relating to all meal preparations for the family, and the same tasks are performed for all regular meals, special events, holidays, parties or entertaining, etc. In addition the organization, maintenance and supplies of the kitchen, food purchases and clean-up are also part of their job description.
Brief description of what Cooks/Personal Chefs do:
- Prepare and serve meals
- Plan meals/menu according to family’s diet, preferences or restrictions
- Stock all food and related ingredients
- Shop for groceries
- Rotate pantry and clean refrigerator
- Manage all entertainment functions, including proper table setting, flower arranging etc
